The enthusiasm for exfoliating with enzymes is blooming in the all natural and organic skin care industry. Its gentle  exfoliation proteolytic properties, phytochemicals and antioxidants improves the skin’s texture and provides the skin with environmental protection.

Papaya is a fruit originating from Mexico, Central and South America.  The enzyme of papaya is called papain. It is extremely high in vitamin C. In many countries, papaya is used to heal wounds, burns, rashes  and bug bites.

Kiwifruit hails from California, China and New Zealand. It carries the enzyme actindin.  Although actindin is more gentle on the skin than the other enzymes, it can also cause allergic reactions.  Kiwifruit is high in vitamin C, vitamin E and vitamin K.

Fig is a fruit that carries the enzyme called Ficin. Ficin enzymes exfoliate the old skin cells as while as diminishing  dark spots on top of the skin.
